We are back home from Kansas, where we had a wonderful time teaching Pre-Design Studio, visiting the show with hundreds of beautiful quilts. We were the lucky ones making the final and winning bid at the auction on an extraordinary beautiful art quilt made by Claudia Pfeil. The quilt is hanging in our own living room. Claudia made this quilt using the same silk fabrics and quilting techniques as she did for her Fire and Ice quilt, which won the Viewer's Choice award.

It feels so good to give money to a good cause and end up with this art quilt - it makes us feel like winners!
