About the PE-Design CD-Books:

Just want to thank you for such Wonderful products! I have had the PE Design 6 program for well over a year
and thought I knew a lot in the program........well........think again! Since watching your tutorials and I'm on #13 I have doubled my knowledge on the program and one can only imagine what I will know when I'm finished with all the tutorials.
By learning with your tutorials it's helping me get my money's worth on what I spent on the program PE Design itself. And it's all so much fun!!

I just have to tell everyone - Loes CD Books are the best thing since computer machines.
I had the V5 and now just got the V6 cd book - it takes you through everything with ease.
It's not like the manual at all .It is the best money you will ever spend.

"I just picked up my new PE-Design 5CD-Book from my local store and have been happily enjoying all of Loes wonderful movies, tutorials, tips and techniques. I only had about an hour to look at it tonight but have already picked up numerous tips and skills that I had overlooked before. The projects included on the CD (10 in all) look very inviting and I can hardly wait to get started on a few of them. Thank you Loes for the wonderful job you did developing this CD. As always your teaching thoughts and sequence of skills presented were well thought out and developed with both the beginner, intermediate and advanced user in mind. I just wish I had a few more hours in my days to go through the whole disk this
weekend, but alas I have other projects calling to me and I will have to spread the joy of learning and discovery out over the next month.

Loes, I just wanted to touch base with you and tell you how happy I am that I bought your program. I have traced photos, metafile and hand designed my own creations and all with so much ease. It works perfectly with my Bernina V5 software. I just want to tell you how great your program is. I will soon demo it to my friend Susan and told two other friends that are too far away for me to demo it, to go check it out at Ann The Grann, at least view the videos... I know they will be sold as I was. Thanks for such a great product!
...Your program is a pleasure to use, all I really need to do when I open it in my software is check the stitching sequence. With one design it requires very little re-work, basicly all I need to do is ad underlay. Each time I have use the Wreath tool I have to do some work with sequencing. Of course maybe it is the way I create the Wreath that may cause this, afteralll, I'm just starting to work with your program, but I'm so so so happy I have found it!

Since our last correspondence, I just have to tell you that Pre Design is the best. I have been digitizing and digitizing. It has enabled me to finish my Mardi Gras designs, with such ease. I am truly spoiled now. I even tested out on the original Pfaff software PCD 2.2. It gave a beautiful bitmap, that enables one to use the auto trace. The auto trace in PCD 2.2 was awful, and not at all useable, as far as I was concerned , could never get it to work before your Pre Design. I just thought that you might want to know, just in case you know someone who is struggling with Pfaff's auto trace.
I very seldom use PCD, since I have moved on to the brother software, and I also got spoiled there.

I have been using your Pre-Design since Thursday of last week and I have to tell you....I just LOVE IT! I have been able to use my Autodigitizing program that I have had for two years.
I have digitized more designs in just 3 days than I have in two years! I hated cleaning up the bmp files as i could never work the paint program and it always took so long! Thank you for creating a easy to use program that EVEN I CAN DO!

Pre-Design and Viking's Autodigitizing and VIP Digitizing software:
Loes - I just wanted to say thank you so much for the incredibly prompt replies and for my Pre-Design software. I have been needing this software for a long time. I have been playing with a particular piece of artwork on and off for over a year. I have both Autodigitizing and Viking VIP Digitizing. Until I installed Pre-Design I could not get the artwork to a state where I could digitize from it easily.

But get this - In the same day I:
* installed Pre-Design
* went thru the tutorials
* traced my artwork
* colored my artwork
* exported the new artwork to .bmp
* imported the new .bmp to Autodigitizing
* digitized the design
* stitched the design on muslin - and it doesn't look bad!

Just for grins, I went and digitized the same thing in VIP but I haven't stitched it yet. I may have a little tweaking to do yet but I got further in one day than I had in a year.

"Pre-Design has made it possible for me to digitize well, set up a website and produce designs for it. Before I had the program, I struggled with cleaning bitmap files. Once I had it, within a day or so, I was producing bitmaps that needed very little changing in stage three of PE Design, allowing me to focus on the more artistic side of digitizing. It has SOOOO expanded my range of designs - I use designs I would never have dreamed of trying before I owned it. What used to take a couple of hours, between scanning, cleaning, etc, I can do in less than 1/4 of the time. And with much better results.
I've had the program since the first month it was out and I eagerly await the update. Loes is a gem for digitizers and if she produces a product, I know it will be of the highest quality.

"I'm very happy with Pre-Design. Now I can use Pfaff's auto trace feature with excellent results. I have spent so many hours trying to edit bmp files with other graphic programs and the results were never really satisfactory. I love the feature that let's me change the line width. I had very good results with Origins, as well, after changing the line width and coloring the design. What a time saver!"

Pre-Design and Palette/PE-Design Version 5:
Posted in the Pre-Designgroup at Yahoo: "I have Palette Version 5...which is one and the same as PED Version 5 so to speak. I had just purchased PreDesign before that and I feel for the first time since I started digitizing years back...I have worked myself up through all the versions of Palette...that I am getting a handle on digitizing. I can't thank you enough Loes for developing PreDesign nor you Lucienne for telling me about it!! Jan, if you can swing it, I definitely suggest you get both Version 5 AND PreDesign 2. I am still amazed at all the new features V5 has to offer and can hardly wait for your new book and CD Loes, so that I can fully use the program...so far I am self taught on this one. So many parts of the program frustrated me to no end until now. It sure still needs PreDesign to make it the perfect setup though even at that. If you need to make a choice, then for sure purchase PreDesign. It was like a huge window opened when I purchased it! I make church vestments and I can tell you, digitized designs are extremely hard to find for purchase or for free that I can use. My last challenge was stoles for a Deacon that had the designs drawn by his wife. I managed to complete all of them and keep my sanity, with the help of PreDesign and was pleased with the results."

Pre-Design to create artwork for embroidery digitizing programs: 
Another post in the Pre-Designgroup at Yahoo: "Hi everyone, I finally purchased Pre-Design 2 and all I can say is WOW. I wished I hadn't waited two months to do this. It installed easily, I watched the videos (must do that again) and read the manual. I draw for a couple of digitizers and had to turn away customers because it was not cost effective to spend time cleaning up my drawings turned into .bmp/.jpgs so they could auto-digitize them because they didn't want to do it themselves.
This program will make that process so much easier. I took in one of my scarecrows and it didn't take long to put the drawing into the program, but I did learn the more complex the drawing, the better the planning in execution. The edit buttons sure do come in handy.
So thank you Loes for this wonderful program and thank you to everyone here who will have to answer any questions I come up with that I can't figure out how to answer myself.
And if anyone out there is reading this and are sitting on the fence wondering if you should buy
this program, all I can say is get off the fence and make the purchase. You won't be sorry."
